America Succeeds Updates

America Succeeds Updates: December 2020

“Well, we made it.” That’s the official slogan for the end of 2020. What a year it’s been.

Usually, in December, we would be looking back over the year – it’s a time-honored tradition. This year, however, we’re focused on looking forward. Yes, there are things we were proud to accomplish (check out some of our favorite projects below). And, the team here at America Succeeds have our health, our families, our work, and the beautiful blue skies of Colorado, so we have much for which to be thankful.

Still, as we approach the start of a new year, we can’t help but be hopeful for brighter days ahead. We have exciting objectives around implementing our strategic plan, expanding our network of state partners, and digging into some new initiatives of our own. Stay tuned – we’re looking forward to sharing more with you soon.

In the meantime, please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected through the socially-distant holidays. Here’s to seeing you all next year!

Cheers,
America Succeeds

Remote Learning Resources

In Mid-March, America Succeeds compiled a list of remote learning resources to help parents navigating early distance learning. The resources were distributed to our network and directly to businesses like Home Depot, Adidas, Crate & Barrel, and Samsonite through our partners at Vertebrae. The press release for the effort was picked up over 100 times with a verified audience of 15 million views

Bouncing Back: Student-Centered Policy Priorities for 2021

Equity, access, and opportunity are at the heart of our work. So, it is within that context we provided four key policy recommendations in Bouncing Back: Student-Centered Policies for 2021. These are straightforward and foundational. 2021 won’t be the year to ‘reinvent’ – boldness right now means getting these fundamentals right.
